The ASD1R, also known as the Denon iDock, is the latest from Denon to provide a newer and more convenient connection for iPod users to compatible Denon components. The iDock includes all connecting cables as well as adaptors to accomodate the many different sizes of iPods (Minis, Nano, Photo, Video, etc.). iPod users will feel the power of "Command and Control" with the iDock and the Denon component it is connected to, with features like on-screen display of all metadata (playlists, artist, song, etc.), full remote control of accessing audio files and the iDock will even charge your iPod. Photos and videos from compatible iPods are also handled with the iDock.
Denon Keeps You In Control
The Denon ASD1R lets you connect your iPod to a Denon component with a dock control or to a Denon mini component equipped with a system connector. This connection allows you to control your iPod with your Denon remote controller that came with the Denon component. You can monitor iPod text information, such as menus and track names, on a TV screen, or a front panel display of Denon's component. (This feature only available when connected to Denon products with a dock control.) The ASD1R supports iPods equipped with the Dock Connector Port. However, 3rd-generation iPod (with Dock Connector) require an Apple iPod Universal Dock Adapter (sold separately at Apple Computer, Inc.) in order to be able to be connected to the ASD1R.
