Superb Stereo Sound
Providing 50 watts per channel, into 8 ohms, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with no more
than .08 percent total harmonic distortion, the DRA297 delivers solid, reliable audio
performance even when driving both A and B speaker systems at the same time.
The circuit handling low-level signals have been divided into separate blocks to
ensure that influences from these signals on each other are held to an absolute minimum.
This new chassis design, known as Signal Level Divided Construction (SLDC), preserves
the purity of the signal, allowing it to be reproduced with much greater fidelity and clarity.
Enough Sound To Go Around
The DRA297 provides a PRE OUT terminal that lets you connect another amp so that
you can enjoy the same source in sub-room 1 that you have in the main room. The
versatile A-B speaker switching feature lets you listen to music in a second sub-room
by simply selecting Speaker System B. The volume from the PRE OUT terminals is linked
to the DRA297's master volume control. External remote control equipment including IR
re-transmitters and IR remote receivers, such as Denon's separately available
RC-616/617S/617W/618IR devices, can be connected to the DRA297's IR remote
input and output terminals.
The DRA297 has several features that can add to your entertainment experience.
Stereo video sources, such as hi-fi VCR, stereo TV, and DVD can all be easily
connected to the DRA297's DVD/VDP, VCR and Video Aux terminals. The Video
Select Function allows you to select a video source, and then select an alternate
audio input source, ideal for simulcasting, as well as watching TV sports programs
while listening to radio commentary.
The DRA297 includes random preset memory tuning for 56 stations (AM/FM). FM stations
can be searched by the tuner, and automatically stored in the preset memory up to 40 stations,
which is great for locales with many FM stations. Thanks to PLL circuit design, reception drift is
a thing of the past. The DRA297 also has a 4-pole varactor diode in its front end, which guarantees
accurate input of station frequencies.
The DRA297 AM/FM receiver offers high-performance operation, functionality and affordability,
all in a single unit. It includes a Video Select feature that lets you control a variety of video
and audio signals and Pre Out jacks that let you listen to music in a sub-room as well as
a main room.
